Researcher & Educator
My name is Anita Caduff (she/ her), and I am a Research Investigator at the Marsal Family School of Education, University of Michigan. I graduated with a Ph.D. in Education from the University of California San Diego in June 2023.
I am dedicated to better understanding how education can and should be transformed towards more equitable access and outcomes for all learners. This dedication is the foundation for my teaching and research, focusing on (1) immigrant-origin adolescents and multilingual learners, and (2) social networks and leadership at the intersection of research, policy, and practice, including networks around research evidence, knowledge mobilization, and knowledge brokers.
I leverage qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods; comparative and cross-national study designs; and use social network analysis.
I was born and raised in Switzerland, where I graduated with a B.A. and an M.A. in Teaching at Secondary School Level 1 (7th to 9th grade) from the University of Fribourg. I worked as a middle school teacher in Switzerland, as a German language teacher in the United States, and volunteered in a kindergarten, a daycare, and a middle school in Togo.
My current CV is available here.
